ESF holds Macmillan’s Coffee Morning

For a second year The English School Fahaheel ESF held a Macmillan’s Coffee Morning for staff. Sixth Form students helped organize the event.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraisin­g event. Last year alone Macmillan’s raised £25 million and this year they are aiming to raise even more.

As part of its annual efforts in helping charities, ESF hopes it can make a difference in assisting those in need.

‘Puraskara Sandhya’: K.T. Muhammed Padanavedi-Kuwait, the non-religious social gathering of some of the art, literature and drama lovers in Kuwait; who are highly influenced by the dramas of K.T. Muhammed, veteran play and screen writer of Malayalam drama. Our ultimate aim is to explore the influences provided by the dramas on its golden era to the old society. Also we are trying to encourage the Kuwait society’s eminent personalit­ies who are part of Kuwait’s art, drama, media, music, social and cultural fields.

We are conducting an honorary function in which we honor eminent personalit­ies from art, drama, media, music, social and cultural fields for their contributi­ons to Kuwait’s society. Also we are planning musical entertainm­ent with ever hit songs.

The function will be scheduled on Friday, 14th October 2016 at United Indian School Auditorium, Abbasiya from 6.00 pm onwards.

Arnis/Eskrima training: Eskrimador­Kuwait a member of Cacoy Doce Pares World Federation now opens a new batch of training. Learn the Philippine national sports, which is Arnis/Eskrima with the authentic style and techniques. Training schedule will be every Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm @ Kaifan Sports Complex-Karate Gym. Text or call #50292148-Herms.

Free IFRA coaching classes: Indian Football Referees Associatio­n (IFRA) will be starting free refresher/coaching classes for existing referees, new recruits, those aspiring to be referees and even those who would like to learn about the laws of the game at IEAS – Salmiya (Don Bosco) from Friday, June 10, 2016.

Classes will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm every Friday.

FBC tournament: Filipino Badminton Committee (FBC) is inviting all badminton enthusiast in Kuwait to join their regular badminton tournament being held every Friday from 8 am to 7 pm at Kuwait Disabled Sports Club, Bin Khaldoun Hawalli. Over 10 badminton courts are now available for badminton practices and tournament and it is open for all nationalit­ies and from different badminton organizati­ons.
