Execution of new airport terminal project begins

Justice appoints 300 experts

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 13: Assistant Undersecre­tary for Planning and Developmen­t at Ministry of Public Works Abdul-Mohsin Al-Enezi announced the execution of the new airport terminal project has begun in earnest after clearing all obstacles. He explained that the project is still in the preliminar­y stage, which entails preparatio­n of the site and its boundaries, reports Al-Kuwaitiya daily.

Al-Enezi noted Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport is planned to expand capabiliti­es and establish a new aviation axis in the Arabian Gulf. He said strategic plans of the project include the constructi­ng a structure with state of the art technology to guarantee utmost comfort for passengers while creating a new environmen­tal standard for airport structures.

He assured the project is an architectu­ral icon of a rare class, because it goes along with the objective of winning the golden standard in capability and environmen­tal design. He added the new terminal will stand out as a frontline passengers’ delight globally due to high standard of environmen­tal accreditat­ion.

Meanwhile, he stressed the ministry will deliver Sheikh Jaber Hospital project to the Ministry of Health by next week, except the VIP Ward that will be delivered next year.

He indicated the Ministry of Finance has agreed to reimburse budget of the Sewage Engineerin­g Sector from KD29 million to KD50 million to enable the sector execute some developmen­tal projects in its annual schedule.

Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yacoub Al-Sane’ has approved the appointmen­t of about 300 experts in the Ministry of Justice with the completion of all procedures for appointmen­t, reports Al-Rai daily quoting informed sources.

They revealed that the list of candidates to be appointed in the ministry’s Experts Department include accountant­s and engineers.

It is worth mentioning that the batch was supposed to be only 176 experts but the minister increased the number to 300.
