Al Waleed Philanthropies Equestrian Team clinch titles
Al-Muhawes, Saleh star in Al Husain Int’l Equestrian Endurance Competition
THE ALWALEED Philanthropies (AP): Equestrian Team, which is owned by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Alwaleed Philanthropies, achieved high ranking titles on Monday, November 14, 2016 in the Al Husain Int’l Equestrian Endurance Race in Wadi Rum, in southern Jordan.
Alwaleed Philanthropies’ team member Abdulaziz Al-Muhawes achieved the 2nd place title in the 120-kilometer-long international competing race. Furthermore, Alwaleed Philanthropies’ equestrian Mohammad Saleh succeeded in securing the 1st place in the 80-Kilometer-long international competing race, while Moath Al Khalifa secured the 2nd place title in the 80-Kilometer-long local competitor’s race.
Over 50 competitors from various countries participated, most notably Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands. The equestrians took off on November 14th at dawn. The competition was sponsored by HRH Princess Alia Al Husain. It is worth noting that Alwaleed Philanthropies achieved the 1st place title in last year’s Al Hussein International Endurance Competition for completing 120 km through its team member Abdulaziz Al Duwish.
