VAL D’ISERE, France, Dec 2, (AP): It was another great day for Norway in the first men’s speed race of the season with Kjetil Jansrud and Aksel Lund Svindal finishing 1-2 in a World Cup super-G on Friday.

Svindal, back racing 10 months after sustaining a serious knee injury, was 0.17 seconds slower than Jansrud, the Olympic champion in super-G. Jansrud won in 1 minute, 21.66 seconds.

Svindal punched the air with both fists when he posted the fastest time as the fifth starter. Jansrud went down two racers later and topped it.

Dominik Paris of Italy was third, 0.41 behind Jansrud, on a Kuwait Football Association headed by acting President Fawaz Al-Hassawi held a press conference concerning Kuwait

and Jahra Sports Clubs issue.

Acting President of Kuwait Football Association Fawaz Al-Hassawi affirmed on his Twitter account that a decision on the complaint lodged by Salmiya and Arabi clubs concerning the participation of three players in the squad of Kuwait and Jahra sports clubs will be issued on Sunday.

Al-Hassawi apologized for

the delay in the issuance of the final decision concerning the complaint, attributing the delay to long legal procedures that need to be followed.

He said, “The decision will take its natural course through committees of discipline, appeal and competitions. By Sunday, the conflict will be solved”.

In previous meeting concerning the issue, the members disputed on the decision because some want Kuwait and Jahra sports clubs to win instead of Arabi and Salmiya sports clubs, while others want the win to be scraped and instead given Arabi and Salmiya “walkover” of 3 goals to zero. (KUNA)
