Embassy of Romania marks National Day

The Embassy of the Republic of Romania celebrated its National Day at the Sheraton Hotel. Romanian Ambassador to Kuwait Daniel Nicusor Tanase organized the event with Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Khaled Al-Jarallah in attendance.

HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; thereby, opening all doors of cooperation to him. He affirmed that the relationship between the two countries is solid and growing, and it dates back 53 years.

On the other hand, Al-Jarallah said the Kuwaiti-Romanian relationship is distinguished and both sides want such relations to continue developing in various aspects. He called to mind the honorable stand that Romania took during Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. He confirmed that Kuwait and its people fully appreciate the diplomatic relationship between Kuwait and Romania. He foresees a promising future with stronger cooperation between the two nations in different fields like tourism and investment.

Romania’s National Day, which is also known as ‘Great Union Day’, is celebrated every Dec 1 in remembrance of the gathering of delegates of ethnic Romanians in Alba Iulia which declared the Union of Transylvania with Romania.
