PAM endorses automated system for collecting fees

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has endorsed a new automated system of collecting fees for transfer of work permits. The fees ranges from KD 200 to KD 350, reports Al-Nahar daily.

The daily quoting knowledgea­ble sources explained that fees to be paid for transferri­ng work permits from one government contract to another ranges between KD 200 and KD 350. It also applies to transfer of an employee registered under government contract to the main file of the same employer.

Sources added the authority endorsed KD 300 fee for the transfer of work permit registered under one government contract to a different employer also registered on government contract; private sector employee transferri­ng to a different sponsor in the private sector without completing one year; employee who wishes to transfer to another employer less than one year after transfer of the residency from government sector to private sector, and local retirees under government contracts who wish to transfer to the private sector before completing one year.

They explained that KD 300 fee has been set for transferri­ng family visa to private sector and domestic visa to private sector before completing three years under the same employer.

Elsewhere, sources indicated that PAM is on the verge of completing the list of names of employees that deserve bonuses, noting the financial and administra­tion sectors have requested various department­s to present the names of deserved employees by the end of the current year.
