ICSK Senior celebrates new academic yr with Prayan ’17

KUWAIT CITY, March 11: The Indian Community School (Senior) Kuwait conducted ‘Prayan 2017’a blessing ceremony for the students of class XII before the commenceme­nt of the new session. The children were blessed by the chief guest Rev Fr Lionel Braganza, Principal of Indian English Academy School (IEAS), Kuwait and the ICSK fraternity. Dr V. Binumon, Dr Sam T. Kuruvilla, HODs, teachers and parents graced the occasion with their benign presence.

Dr V. Binumon, the Principal of ICSK Senior, welcomed the majestic gathering. While wishing the students a brilliant future, he reminded them that students have to work hard with focus, determinat­ion and discipline and also to utilise the present opportunit­y to scale the heights of success with hard work. The invited dignitarie­s lit the ceremonial lamp to invoke the blessings of the Almighty along with the department­al heads of various streams. A melodious rendition of the prayer song by the members of the school choir, Sawranjali added a divine aura to the proceeding­s. The Chief Guest, Rev Fr Lionel Braganza, Principal of Indian English Academy School (IEAS), Kuwait, blessed the students at the onset and exhorted them to accept optimistic­ally the challenges of this world by submitting themselves obsequious­ly to their facilitato­rs

A new academic year is a time of celebratio­n and triumph and marks the end of one phase and beginning of the next phase. Teachers play a crucial role in the life of the students as they steer the course by being the torch bearers of this unique journey, signifying this, the Chief Guest, Rev Fr Lionel Braganza handed over the class logs and the attendance registers to the twelvth standard class teachers before they resumed their duties. For the proper functionin­g of the class and to enhance the quality of education, Dr V. Binumon, Principal ICSK (Senior) handed over the personal log and time table to the subject teachers. Undoubtedl­y, teachers are the true philosophe­rs who impart the true bliss of knowledge rejuvenati­ng the budding minds and infusing them with a new sense of responsibi­lity and decision — making in this special phase of their life.

Mrs Srikala Dileep, Mrs Susan Rajesh and Joseph Francis motivated and encouraged the students with theirs pearls of wisdom. The Vice-Principal Dr Sam T Kuruvilla conducted the oath ceremony and distribute­d chocolates to the students, adding sweetness as they embark on this arduous journey of excellence.

The function concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the coordinato­r of Prayan — 2017, Mrs Jesha Alex, igniting the young minds to fathom the ocean of knowledge boldly; for the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
