‘Kuwait keen on implementing resolutions of Arab summits’
Panel maintains diesel, kerosene price of March for April
DEAD SEA, Jordan, March 25, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Finance Minister Anas Al-Saleh said Saturday Kuwait was keen on implementing resolutions of regular Arab summits, as well as economic summits to improve welfare of Arab citizens.
Al-Saleh, also Deputy Premier, made the remarks to KUNA after his arrival in Jordan to chair Kuwait’s delegation to the Arab Economic and Social Council’s Ministerial meeting, due in the Dead Sea on Sunday.
He hoped the meeting would further boost common Arab economic and social action.
The Arab Finance and Economy Ministers will be preparing draft resolutions and draft final communique of the Arab Summit, due on March 29.
The Arab League Secretary General’s report over implementation of the last Arab summit’s resolution, reports by the economic and social sector of the League’s secretariat, the Arab free trade zone and the water development strategy for 2017-37 will be discussed by the ministers.
They will also discuss knowledge-based economy, Sudanese president’s initiative for agriculture investment in Sudan to help address food security, in addition to social development, terrorism, scientific research and Arab women development.
Meanwhile, subsidy committee headed by the Undersecretary of Finance Ministry Khalifa Hamada has maintained diesel and kerosene price of March for April 2017, and the price will remain 110 fils per liter, reports Al-Rai daily quoting reliable sources.
The same sources added the committee considered the recommendation of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) to keep diesel and kerosene prices of March for April.
As regards fuel prices, sources noted the committee decided to fix Premium at 85 fils, Super at 105 fils and Ultra at 165 fils per liter.
