Al-Mansour to be main personality of Kuwait Int’l Monodrama Festival
KUWAIT CITY, March 27: Head of Kuwait International Monodrama Festival and actor Jamal Al-Lahw has chosen the prominent Kuwaiti actor Mohammad AlMansour to be the main personality of the fourth edition of the festival, which is due to be held on April 12-18 at Al-Dasma Theater, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Speaking to the daily, Al-Lahw said the selection of Al-Mansour was in appreciation of his long Arab and Gulf artistic contributions in the fields of drama, cinema and theater.
Meanwhile, prominent Kuwaiti actor Abdul Hussein Abdul Redha has denied rumors circulating about his participation in Ramadan dramas this year, reports Al-Shahid daily.
He said this information is untrue and baseless, affirming that he does not take the risk of participating in trivial or insignificant artistic works.
The prominent Kuwaiti artiste Asmahan Tewfik revealed that she will not participate in any artistic work during Ramadan this year, reports Al-Rai daily.
In an interview with the daily, she indicated that producers and the censorship board are responsible for the lackluster TV series in the country, adding that the censorship board wants to present an ideal society, which is difficult for a professional writer to achieve.
She stressed that series should be focused on issues or problems, and not on the actors.
