RSK holds ‘Dos Por Dos’ 1-day tourney
KUWAIT CITY, March 27: In spite of heavy rains at early morning, members and participants of RSK Badminton swarm the wooden courts of Kazma Sports Complex in Adailiya, as the day has finally come for another much-awaited one-day badminton tournament dubbed as “Dos Por Dos – The Ultimate Doubles Battle.”
168 of the finest badminton players in their respective levels along with their friends and family did not mind the extreme weather as they showed up on time to experience and witness another exciting, nerve-wracking, tough but fun-filled day of quality badminton.
The one-day competition is composed of 5 categories, with Champion and Runner Up titles at stake, added with equally coveted special awards of Most Valuable Player or MVP for each category, Model Player or MP of each category, and special awards such as Best in Sports Attire, and others, in addition to the cash prizes as a form of incentive to the winners.
RSK Sports Chairperson Felix Besanez and RSK Badminton President Garry Calub expressed sincere gratitude for the full house attendance, to the players for the overwhelming participation, to all RSK Officials, and to the following establishments for their consistent support to the league --Ali Café, Mediacom, Boodle House Resto Farwaniya, and Pro Sports Kuwait.
Giving a heads up next weeks’ events, Besanez announces the group’s 31st Badminton Tournament with games starting on March 31 to be sponsored by SMDC Properties, the largest condominium developer in the Philippines. Aside from badminton, RSK Sports also holds volleyball games at the same complex, and currently on the 5th week of their Season 6 (Spring Cup).
