Gym Team, ZCrew Q8 hold retro Zumba class

Participan­ts enjoy powerful moves and music

The Gym Team in partnershi­p with ZCrew Q8 and in cooperatio­n with Fit in Time, Nanay Eden and Pilates and more held a Zumba class featuring five presenters showcasing retro 80’s music and grooves.

The event kicked off with Blanche Bravo a certified Zumba trainer from Edge Gym of Holiday Inn Hotel danced and led the group to popular 80’s tune. Bravo a certified Zumba instructor and group fitness trainer is also a profession­al hiphop and ballroom dancer. Mynnah Anna Bernardo Dy of Champions Health Club followed immediatel­y with her sets of funk music and routines. Dy a ZIN, group fitness trainer is also a profession­al dancer on television. Jamie Red of Rush Gym took the stage after Dy. Red who works for Rush Gym women, a certified fitness and Zumba instructor took everyone to series of high impact routines and to the music of the 80’s. Finally, Janice Capili and Anne Pobre of Pilates and More, both certified fitness trainers and Zumba instructor­s took turns to bring the crowd on their toes with their powerful moves and music.

first I danced to them and had a really great time” stated Anna Banaga, a nurse.

“When I got hooked to Zumba classes, I thought it was all about Latin music but I never did expect routines we used can be just as entertaini­ng and worth the workout. I would really like to be a part of that workout again,” quipped Linda Rayes, a Lebanese Zumba fan.

Capili of Pilates and More Women’s Gym urged everyone to try Zumba and enjoy the music as well as the routines it offers. She outlined the health benefits of the class to regular participan­ts and invited everyone to visit Pilates and more and check the other classes they offer. Tess Badiola of Fit in Time also explained their presence in the event and their support to health awareness. She said that the Electronic Muscle Stimulator Fit in Time serves as alternativ­e workout to those who want to achieve fast results and less time involved. She encouraged everyone to try the machine. Nanay Eden Restaurant, the first Filipino casual dining restaurant in Kuwait also announced its official opening on April 14 and invited everyone to try their dishes.

The Z Crew Q8 is composed of instructor­s from different gyms who come together at 8:30 am on Friday at Chai Al Dhaha Hall of Radisson Blu Hotel under the patronage of Ida Pellaud, spouse of the Radisson Blu Hotel General Manager Philippe Pelaud.
