RIYADH, April 5, (KUNA): Five Kuwaiti students earned silver and bronze medals in the physics and mathematics competitions held by the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States. Yousef Badr Al-Enezi won the Gulf physics bronze medal, Omar Al-Mutawaa got a silver in mathematics, while Hussein Al-Sabti and Ahmad Al-Mula and Mansour Al-Surayea won a bronze in mathematics.

It was Kuwait’s first participation in this educational contest organized by the bureau.

Kuwaiti personnel in the Administrative and Financial Sector of Kuwait Municipality have denounced the idea of assigning an expatriate to prepare the list of names of employees worthy of the excellent performance bonus for fiscal year 2016/2017, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily quoting a reliable source noted the Kuwaiti personnel described the step as a disastrous, especially as it involves an expatriate who has a long history of appointing his relatives into the sector. He said the expatriate in question employed almost 10 percent of the entire Municipality staff; the majority of them in Administrative and Financial Sector. He stated the large number of expatriate relatives motivates him to involve in financial violations.

He revealed the man receives over KD 800 monthly as salary and appointed his wife in the same sector. “That’s why some people are suspicious of his sincerity in evaluating performances.”

He urged the Director General of Municipality Engineer Ahmad Al-Manfouhi to investigate the issue and query the official who abandoned his responsibility to the expatriate.
