Dasma Theater hosts TSOM
KUWAIT CITY, April 5: The Dasma Theater hosted a musical delegation from South Africa’s Tshwane School of Music (TSOM) which performed first out of its three scheduled musical performances in Kuwait as part of the cultural program organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters.
The TSOM entertained the public from various nationalities who went to the Dasma Theater in search for entertainment which connects bridges among various cultures and opens the window to societies that are thousands of miles away.
It is worth mentioning that the TSOM was formed in March 2013 and currently has approximately 140 students (mostly of primary school level) in individual classes and 200 students in group classes.
The school provides music education to a broad base of children and youth of previously disadvantaged communities in Tshwane.
The school also provides music therapy, facilitates exposure and training in the field of music technology and provides a platform for musical performances.
