Dasma Theater hosts TSOM

KUWAIT CITY, April 5: The Dasma Theater hosted a musical delegation from South Africa’s Tshwane School of Music (TSOM) which performed first out of its three scheduled musical performanc­es in Kuwait as part of the cultural program organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters.

The TSOM entertaine­d the public from various nationalit­ies who went to the Dasma Theater in search for entertainm­ent which connects bridges among various cultures and opens the window to societies that are thousands of miles away.

It is worth mentioning that the TSOM was formed in March 2013 and currently has approximat­ely 140 students (mostly of primary school level) in individual classes and 200 students in group classes.

The school provides music education to a broad base of children and youth of previously disadvanta­ged communitie­s in Tshwane.

The school also provides music therapy, facilitate­s exposure and training in the field of music technology and provides a platform for musical performanc­es.
