Bad behavior?:
Ministry of Education has rung the alarm bell over the consequences of several problems that hinder the attainment of education by a big number of elementary, intermediate and high school students, reports Al-Qabas daily.
It warned of deterioration of behavior among the students, especially in the last few years, as per an annual ministerial report.
According to the report, sociological and psychological researchers dealt with 85,000 student-related problems during the 2015/2016 academic year.
The report revealed that behavioral cases topped the list of the problems with 32,000 cases, followed by cases of underachievement among the students with 28,849 cases. Healthrelated problems came in a distant third place with 16,000 cases.
‘Shut after study’:
Executive President of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) Muhammad Ghazi Al-Mutairi stated the decision to close down Shuaiba Refinery was approved by the Board of Directors of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and the Supreme Petroleum Council since 2004 after completing relevant studies, reports Al-Rai daily.
He noted the decision had to with the readiness of Al-Zour Refinery for operation after studies confirmed the refinery could not be developed due to many factors, including dilapidated equipment and facilities.
