AVC, Curtorcares Utd, Kerala Challengers win big

J.P. D’Mello Rolling Trophy

KUWAIT CITY, April 5: Don Bosco Oratory came back from a goal down to beat Goa Maroons 4-3 in an exciting league match for the J.P. D’Mello Rolling Trophy, powered by Gulf Cable and Electrical Co K.S.C.P and played on Friday, 31st March 2017 at Bayan grounds. In other matches Soccer Kerala beat AVC Sports & Cultural Association 2-0, Curtorcares United beat Skynet Miracles 3-2 and Kerala Challengers won 3-0 against DHL FC.

In the first match, Kerala Challengers eased their way up on the points table by beating DHL FC 3-0 with Vinoj finding the net twice and Mujeeb scoring the third. Having won five and lost five, they are now sixth on the points table and close to qualifying for the super eight play-offs. Vinoj was man of the match and received his award from Elvis.

After fifteen weeks, Kuwait Goan Association were finally dethroned from the top position when Don Bosco Oratory fought hard to overcome Goa Maroons 4-3 in the second match of the day. All seven goals in the match were scored in the second half as Goa Maroons first took the lead through their hard working mid fielder Ritesh, who headed in brilliantly from a cross by substitute Peter.
