Bashir visits Bahrain:

Bahraini King Hamad bin Issa Al-Khalifa hosted on Wednesday the visiting Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir discussing regional and Arab issues as well as bilateral ties.
Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said the monarch expressed, during the meeting, satisfaction at level of the bilateral relations between the two countries and lauded the existing cooperation on diverse arenas.
He called for boosting the bilateral relations and coordination within framework of the cooperation commission and gave instructions to aides to start procedures for opening the Bahraini embassy in the Sudanese capital Khartoum.
The Sudanese leader, who was in Kuwait before proceeding to Bahrain, echoed identical keenness on promoting the ties and cooperation.
Al-Bashir and his accompanying delegation left Kuwait on Wednesday, ending an official visit to the country. (KUNA)

Al-Qallaf meets sports chief:
Director General of the Public Authority for Sports Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour on Wednesday received world wheelchair fencing champion Tareq Al-Qallaf and his coach Kazem Malallah.
They presented the cup that AlQallaf won during the World Fencing Championship for the Disabled, “US Epee Championship 2017”, held in Pennsylvania, USA where he won gold.
Sheikh Al-Mansour congratulated Al-Qallaf for this achievement, saying the authority is following him with utmost pride as he has been exerting tremendous efforts to raise the Kuwaiti flag in the international community. He described the star sportsman as a man with brilliant history in disabled sports.
Defaulters warned:
Official sources disclosed the State’s intention to prevent companies defaulting payment of any sort from participating in tenders floated by the government, reports Al-Nahar daily.
They noted government has taken the step to deal with defaulters and compel bidders to disclose their accounts. He said legal action will be taken against any official who causes government to loss funds through failure in collecting outstanding dues.
‘50 applications received’:
The committee in charge of reviewing citizenships received 50 applications from a total of 200 applicants on the first day of operation. Registration went on smoothly based on cooperation between the employees and applicants.
