DUBAI, April 13: Sharjah Tatweer Forum (STF) has reaffirmed its commitment to continuously train the country’s future young leaders in keeping with the vision and strategic goals of the ‘Rubu Qarn’ Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators.

The foundation was established by virtue of Amiri Decree No. 17 of 2017 issued by HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to unify and consolidate all efforts in developing educational courses and training programs.

It also aims to encourage innovative activities that will fully engage and harness the energy and capabilities of children and young people for the benefit of Sharjah, the UAE, and the rest of the world.

Encourage

To contribute to the foundation’s aspiration focusing on the ability of the young to transform Sharjah into a leading global business and learning hub, the STF will continue the implementation of its flagship Sharjah Leadership Program (SLP) to encourage young Emirati leaders to proactively lead the UAE’s development.

The SLP initiative was organized in collaboration with the American University of Sharjah (AUS) to help provide potential leaders with access to the best leadership programs and learning globally recognized practices in terms of organizational leadership, and other project, risk, and quality management courses, among others. Over the years, the program has ably positioned itself as one of the premier leadership focused initiatives that are not only aimed at developing future leaders but also equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to successfully lead.

Jassem Albloushi, member of the Board of Trustees, ‘Quarter of a Century Foundation for creating future leaders and innovators, said: “We at STF are honored to be one of the institutions under the umbrella of ‘Rubu Qarn’ Foundation for creating future leaders and innovators. There is no denying that the Amiri Decree issued by H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan has paved the way for building human capital capable of improving our country’s competitiveness.”

Albloushi added: “For our part, we at STF are committed to contributing to the strategic priorities and inspiration goals of the foundation under the chairmanship of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, while adhering to our mission of training our younger generations to excel in science, industry, economy, sports, culture, and arts. These will catapult Sharjah and the UAE into the ranks of the most advanced places in the world.”

Cornerstone

Further, we also aim to develop worldclass training programs under the umbrella of the ‘Rubu Qarn’ Foundation for creating future leaders and Innovators, which is the region’s first organization focusing on human capacity building over the past 25 years. This will better utilize the inherent capabilities of our citizens and build a knowledgeable and innovative Emiratis in line with UAE Vision 2021.” Albloushi concluded.
