Filipino singer Pomoy to perform in Kuwait
Manila and local artists to light up ‘Awit Saya 2017’
Filipinos in Kuwait have something to look forward to this April as the Infinity Event Management brings to Kuwait world-class Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy and a bombastic group of stand up comedians Iyah Mina, Jewel and Verna. The musical concert dubbed “Awit Saya 2017: Araw ng Manggagawang Pilipino under the auspices of the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait will be held on April 21 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at the Abdul Hussain Abdul Redah Theater in Salmiya. Gates will be open at 3:00 pm.
Joining the Manila artists for the front act are equally talented local artists namely power belter, singing champ and voice coach Jennifer Uy, teen crooner Najwa Lacson, Pinoy Arabia FM Sing Galing Duo Champ Carlo Delfinado, Balladeer Mark Guarin, Mark Emil Francisco and award-winning dance group — the One Groove.
“The audience will definitely have a night of fun and beautiful music showcasing world class Filipino talents. We are inviting everyone to come and watch the show as we all celebrate in advance the Labour day and Philippine Independence Day,” stated Ana Del Mundo of Infinity Event Management.
The event hosted by Maxxy Santiago of The Filipino Channel/ABS-CBN is a sequel of the highly successful AwitSaya 2016, a concert for a cause held last year wherein part of its proceeds went to the graces, a home for the aged in the Philippines.
This time, the AwitSaya 2017 beneficiary will be the Philippine General Hospital Cancer Department for children. The event is sponsored by VIVA Telecom, SM Development Company, Max’s Restaurant, Crowne Plaza and the official carrier of the artists Philippine Airlines in cooperation with ADM International Manpower Services Company and Al Alamia International Manpower Services.
Infinity Event Management formed in October 2016 to bring world-class entertainment to Kuwait is headed by Abu Barak, Ronnie Ramos, Ana Del Mundo, Dolores Elenany, Mildred Lacson, Nelson Lacson and Creative Director Alejandro Ben B. Braga.
