KUWAIT CITY, April 13: Burgan Bank, the second largest conventional bank in terms of assets, in partnership with the Embassy of Brazil in Kuwait, Dar Al Athar Al Islamiyyah and other companies with interests in Brazil, recently sponsored a Brazilian musical night at the Yarmouk Cultural Center on April 9. The musical extravaganza, held under the patronage of the Brazilian Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, HE Norton de Andrade Mello Rapesta, aimed to celebrate the rich Brazilian music and enhance the exchange of cultures.
The night hosted world famous Brazilian artists, Francis Hime a renowned pianist, composer, singer, arranger and conductor with a career of more than 50 years and 26 albums, who represents the best of the second generation of the Bossa Nova and Olivia Hime, lyricist, singer and Francis Hime’s partner in life and music, enthralled the audience and captured the essence of the rich and beautiful Brazilian music.
With an aim of promoting different world cultures in Kuwait and nurturing the local society with world-class music, Burgan Bank continues to engage in partnerships that position Kuwait as a thriving cultural destination.
