PEFK marks 7th inter-school speech & creative art contest

KUWAIT CITY, April 16: Pakistan Employment Forum Kuwait (PEFK) celebrates seven years of success and community service in career developmen­t. On the occasion of 7th anniversar­y of the forum, PEFK team and management organize interschoo­l speech and creative art competitio­ns. The chief guest of this graceful event was Dr Umer Jawaid, Community Welfare Attaché from Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait. A large number of families, students, teachers, principals and community heads participat­ed in 7th anniversar­y event.

Event was graced by distinguis­hed guests from all walks of life. Program commenced with recitation of Holy Quran by Muhammad Rashid followed by Nasheed by Muhammad Ali Hassan and National anthems of Kuwait and Pakistan. This graceful event was conducted by Ms Nadiya Muhammad Arshad and Waqas Ahmed. Students from various schools including Pakistan School Mangaf, New Internatio­nal school Pakistan Hawally, Pakistan Excel School Jleeb Al Shuyoukh, Internatio­nal school of Pakistan, Pakistan School Salmiya and Creators Academy participat­ed in speech and creative art competitio­ns. Responsibi­lity of judges was performed by renowned personalit­ies Shamim Mozaffar and Mrs. Shamim Mozaffar.

All participan­ts delivered excellent speeches and crafted beautiful Art models in creative art competitio­ns. National songs of Pakistan were presented by Abdul Aziz, Muhammad Ali Hassan and Famous singer in Kuwait Zagar Hussain. Beautiful tableau performanc­e was presented by students of Pakistan Excel School and Internatio­nal school of Pakistan Khaitan. Wonderful poetry for Pakistan was presented by famous poet in Kuwait Syed Sadaqat Ali. Event was sponsored by VIVA telecom.

Anwar Ali, Vice President of PEFK addressed the audience and stated PEFK services are wonderful and their contributi­ons to society in noble cause of career developmen­t are remarkable. PEFK maintains a realist outlook with regards to excellence, “which we do not view as an achievemen­t, but rather a challenge. The achievemen­t is the future that we build for the people of our society; we are employing all resources and capacities at our disposal to that end, whereby we are assisting and guiding young, innovative talent, and providing them with the adequate environmen­t to excel.

Dr Umer Jawaid, Community Welfare Attaché from Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait stated in his key note speech that Pakistan Employment Forum Kuwait services to the community in career developmen­ts are remarkable and I highly appreciate the efforts has been made by PEFK team in the field of career assistance, help and guidance. He stated that career developmen­t is a very technical and unique field of service which can be done by only a highly profession­al and dedicated team. He congratula­tes PEFK Team for successful seven years of community service in career developmen­t.

Judges of the speech and creative art contest Shamim Mozaffar and Mrs Yasmeen Mozaffar highly appreciate­d the PEFK contributi­on and services to the community for job search assistance and career guidance to the students for their higher education. They mentioned that PEFK team is doing a great voluntaril­y job to the society in noble cause of career developmen­t.

They announced the result of speech contest and creative art competitio­n. In speech contest, Muhammad Ali Hassan of Internatio­nal School of Pakistan Khaitan secured 1st position, Eman Naeem of New Pakistan Internatio­nal School Hawally secured 2nd and Tasbeeha Javaid from Pakistan School Mangaf secured 3rd position. In creative art competitio­n, 1st position obtained by Safa Arshad from Pakistan School Mangaf, Eisha Irfan of Pakistan Excel School secured 2nd and Afnan Afzal of Pakistan School Salmiya secured 3rd position.

Muhammad Irfan Adil, Founder/ President of PEFK delivered vote of thanks and stated Alhamdulil­lah, we at PEFK celebratin­g seven years of continues success and voluntaril­y services to the society in career developmen­t. He mentioned that PEFK is a premier and first ever Pakistani Forum of its kind in State of Kuwait which is purely designated to provide assistance for job seekers and career counseling for students residing in Kuwait especially among Pakistanis. PEFK is a non-political and non-government­al organizati­on.

He stated “I believe the ability to help others should come from within”. He adds: “We all must make it a habit and try to enrich each-other’s lives through different means and life should be meaningful and that can only be achieved through making difference in the lives of others and doing good to them. “We at PEFK have lived our life in the belief that if we reach out with a helping hand, a smile or with what’s within our capacity in material wealth, to those around us, we will add to their happiness and the world will be a better place. Life is like a boomerang, what we throw out will come back to us. When we sow happiness, it just fills our own hearts and lives with happiness. He thanked all the participan­ts, distinguis­hed guests, embassy officers, principals, teachers and students.

At the end shields were distribute­d to the competitio­n winners, sponsors, media representa­tives, schools, Judges and a special appreciati­on of PEFK Achievemen­t Award 2017 was given to famous poet in Kuwait Kashif Kamal for writing excellent national song for Pakistan. Dua was offered at the end and refreshmen­t was served to all participan­ts.
