Interior, Foreign and Defense Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states are set to hold a meeting next Thursday in Riyadh.
The meeting will be chaired by Saudi Crown Prince and Interior Minister Prince Mohammad bin Nayef, a statement by the General Secretariat of GCC said.
Secretary General of GCC, Dr AbdulLatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani said that the meeting would discuss a number of issues in the fields of politics, security and defense, and ways to enhance the ongoing joint cooperation and coordination among them, the latest regional developments and international efforts against terrorist organizations.
Al-Zayani added that the GCC Interior and Foreign Ministries’ undersecretaries, along with the Army Chiefs of Staff, met in March in Riyadh and adopted a set of recommendations to be discussed by the ministerial meeting due on Thursday.

Army chief Croatia:
Kuwait’s Chief of General Staff of the Army Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Khader left to Croatia on Tuesday to attend the Adriatic Sea Defense and Aerospace (ASDA) International defense Exhibition and Conference, due 26-28 April.
The Army’s Chief visit aims to get familiar with new latest technology in defense, ships-building and aviation, in addition to recent security systems, a statement by the Ministry of Defense said.
The visit comes upon the directives of Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, where it also aims to enhance the Kuwaiti-Croatian relation, the statement added.
General Al-Khader was seen off at Abdullah Al-Mubarak airbase by a number of high-ranking officers from the Kuwaiti Army. (KUNA)
