RIYADH, May 25, (KUNA): The Global Center for Combatting Extremist Ideology (GCCEI) is the fruit of an international cooperation in encountering radicalism and terrorism.

Riyadh-based GCCEI was inaugurated on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic-US Summit held last Sunday, during the visit of US President Donald Trump.

The Center was established on the basis of confronting extremism by the latest intellectual, media and digital means.

It also has developed innovative techniques that can monitor process and analyze extremists’ rhetoric with high accuracy, all phases of data processing and analysis are done in no more than six seconds once the data or comments are posted online, allowing unprecedented levels of detecting extremist activities.

The Center works to refute hate and extremist speech and promote concepts of moderation, accepting the other, and the production of media content that confront the content of radical thoughts.

The Center has international experts in confronting extremist speech on all conventional and online media.

It operates on the extremists’ most widely used languages and dialects.
