Kuwaiti citizens charitable by nature: Al-Jabri
MoSAL, MoCI, co-ops union cooperate on prices of commodities

KUWAIT CITY, June 8: Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and State Minister for Municipal Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri affirmed the keenness of the ministry to ensure best image of the country’s charitable activities not only during the month of Ramadan but throughout the year. He stressed that Kuwaiti citizens are charitable by nature and their donations are sent throughout the world to help the needy.
Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Cooperative Sector at Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Sheikha Al-Adwani revealed about the cooperation among Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Cooperative Societies Union with the aim of adjusting the prices of commodities, especially during the month of Ramadan, as a way of reducing the suffering faced by consumers in this regard.
She indicated that the coming phase will witness new mechanisms for controlling prices, affirming that the aim of the ministry is to raise the standard of cooperative societies, and not to place obstacles in their path.
In addition, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development at Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Hassan Kazem revealed that the field inspection teams recorded 12 violations related to charitable activities in various parts of Kuwait. He explained that these violations included establishment of illegal stalls for collecting used clothes. The inspection teams, with the help of violations removal teams, removed those stalls, some of which were in Saad Al-Abdullah City.
Kazem revealed that the members of the violations removal teams included Falah Al-Fadhli from Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Ahmed Al-Werdan, Saad Al-Shimmari and Fahad Al-Dhufairi from Kuwait Municipality.
