Catheter lab will take quantum ‘leap’ in cardiologic treatment
Chest Hospital equipped with latest machines: Al-Mutairi
KUWAIT CITY, June 8: Head of Cardiology and Catherization Department at the Chest Hospital Dr Mohammad Al-Mutairi said the new catheter laboratory is now operational, indicating the first catheter surgery will be Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaled Al-Jarallah met with the Commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Pierre Krahenbuhl on Thursday.
The two sides discussed UNRWA’s projects and efforts to ease the suffering of Palestinians and its cooperation conducted in this laboratory on Wednesday, reports AlAnba daily.
In a press statement, Al-Mutairi disclosed the new laboratory will take a quantum leap in cardiologic treatment and catherization as it is equipped with modern machines which reduce radiation and different types of flexible tubes (catheter).
He added the laboratory was established upon completion of the environmental surveys carried out by the Infection Prevention Department in the Ministry of Health.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Foreign Minister for the Affairs of the Assistant Foreign Minister’s Office Ayham Al-Omar and Assistant Deputy Foreign Minister for the Affairs of International Organizations Ambassador Nasser Al-Heyn. (KUNA)
The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) has approved a proposal on the admission of children of Kuwaiti women married to non-Kuwaitis with the same conditions and standards applicable to those whose parents are both Kuwaitis, reports Al-Anba daily.
Dean of Admission and Registration at PAAET Dr Rebah Al-Najada revealed the approval decision was taken during the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Admission presided over by Director General of the authority Ahmad Al-Athari recently.
Al-Najada urged the concerned students to register on the website of PAAET starting from Friday, adding that the authority extended the period for transferring and changing courses until June 22. Kuwaiti Ambassador to Paris Sami Al-Suleiman and his accompanying delegation pose for a photograph.
