Saudi, Bahraini leaders discuss latest developments in ‘region’
King Hamad wishes King Salman good health and happiness
JEDDAH, June 8, (KUNA): Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud discussed on Wednesday with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa the latest developments in the region.
Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said the session reviewed fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and discussed the latest developments in the region.
Bahrain News Agency (BNA) said King Hamad congratulated King Salman on the Holy Month of Ramadan, wishing him abundant health and happiness, more progress and prosperity to both countries and peoples and further development for the Arab and Islamic nation.
He thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the good welcome and hospitality, which reflected deep-rooted and solid fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.
The two leaders highlighted the strong historic relations between both countries and their perpetual growth in all fields.
They also discussed joint efforts to bolster strategic cooperation on regional issues in order to achieve common interests and boost the GCC march.
King Hamad affirmed Bahrain’s keenness on peace and welfare for all, stressing its full support to Saudi Arabia in its efforts to maintain security and stability and deter attempts to wreak chaos, BNA added.
The talks were attended by Prince Khalid Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, Dr Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet; Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, Minister of the State and Member of the Cabinet, Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance, and the Bahraini King’s accompanying delegation, SPA added.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud discussed with US President Donald Trump by phone on Tuesday the latest developments of the situations in the region and beyond.
The conversation also dealt with the deep-rooted historical ties between the Kingdom and the United States, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
President Trump appreciated the leading role of the Kingdom in the combat against extremism and terrorism, and expressed hope for more cooperation in this regard, according to the report.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received Monday a phone call from the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During the call, they reviewed bilateral relations and means to upgrade them in various domains, as well as regional developments of mutual interest.
