KIB holds 7th Ramadan Football Tournament for staff
Al-Boushra Deposit team wins tournament
KUWAIT CITY, June 8: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) recently concluded its 7th Ramadan Football Tournament, which the Bank organizes annually for its staff. As part of its leading social responsibility program taking place throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, KIB has organized a number of activities and initiatives, covering a wide range of different areas, such as sports, culture, religion, as well as various humanitarian initiatives.
In this year’s football tournament, 64 participants from different departments across KIB were placed into 8 teams. While all teams showed a remarkable competitive spirit, the winners of this year’s tournament were Al-Boushra Deposit team, who displayed exceptional performance and skill during the tournament. The winning team players included: Mohammad Mustafa Abdullah, Tarek Kamel, Mohammad Ashmar, Atef Rehani, Ibrahim Mahmoud, Mahmoud Karnib, and Yousef Al-Sharifi.
On his part, Nawaf Najia, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, said: “This tournament was designed to allow for our staff to come together in a fun and active social context — providing a great opportunity for team bonding, a fun competitive environment for players, and a chance to meet new people from across the Bank. We are proud to say that our staff eagerly awaits the tournament every year, and as such the number of participants in this tournament grows more and more.”
It is worth noting that KIB has organized a number of initiatives and activities for its customers, its staff and their families, which are set to take place throughout the the Holy Month of Ramadan. The Bank has paid particular attention to supporting and sponsoring youth-related and sports activities during Ramadan, as part of its solid commitment to promoting sports, health, and fitness across all segments of the local community.
