Kuwaiti singer Ruwaished set to hold ‘concert’ on 3rd day of Eid

KUWAIT CITY, June 15: After almost two months of rest, the ambassador of Gulf songs — Kuwaiti singer Abdullah Ruwaished — is preparing to resume his artistic activity through a concert scheduled for the third day of Eid AlFitr, reports Al-Anba daily.

Also, Ruwaished will travel to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia this weekend in time for his participat­ion in the Artistic Festival on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr at Al-Jowhara Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City. Other performers in the festival include artist of Arabs Mohammed Abdo, Iktahabout­e Al Oud, Saudi signer Abadi Al-Jowhar and Rabeh Saqr.

Meanwhile, Kuwait TV will record a musical session with famous singers in the Arab world to be aired during Eid Al-Fitr and it is keen on encouragin­g stars from Kuwait and other Gulf and Arab countries, reports Al-Rai daily.

Speaking to the daily, Supervisor of Diversity Unit at Kuwait TV Talal AlHaifi enumerated a number of performers chosen so far for the musical session including Nabel Shuwail, Mesaed AlBaloushi, Ahmad Fathi, Aboud Khawaja, Fouad Abdulwahid, Talal Salama, Yara and Omaima Taleb. He added this musical session will be different from the previous ones.

In the meantime, famous singer Ahmad Al-Qattan expressed happiness over the birth of his daughter named Noora, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Qattan revealed Noora is his first daughter with his second wife and the fifth of all his children as he has four children with his first wife. He explained that he and his second wife opted to name their daughter Noora in honor of his mother.

Asked about the possibilit­y of his daughter following his footsteps in the artistic field, Al-Qattan stressed he will not allow Noora to enter this field.
