Sheikh Al-Ainati unveils RIHS panel’s achievements
The Chairman of African Continent Committee at the Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage (RIHS) Sheikh Jassim Al-Ainati disclosed the major achievements of the committee during its 35-year history.
He revealed that the society established 426 schools, 14 institutes and colleges and 270 Islamic centers across the African continent.
Sheikh Al-Ainati said the committee spearheads the role of spreading the various sciences of Islamic teachings especially the sciences derived from the Quran and Sunna that shun extremism and terrorism.
He affirmed that the committee has been exerted efforts to combat these phenomena that have become widespread across the globe.
Sheikh Al-Ainati explained that the committee has executed various constructional and humanitarian projects which played a significant role in alleviating the sufferings of the poor and vulnerable in the African Continent. It built six hospitals and 72 health centers, and distributed food to the hungry throughout the continent.
He paid tribute to the leadership of Kuwait represented by the Humanitarian Leader His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah for his sponsorship and encouragement of Kuwaiti humanitarian works.
Sheikh Al-Ainati also expressed his gratitude to the government and the people of Kuwait for always being supportive to their Muslim brothers around the globe.
