KUWAIT CITY, July 23: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah has issued a set of instructions to enhance control measures in the land, air and marine borders as well as implement a new process in the Department of Sentences Enforcement as soon as possible in order to avoid delays in the transfer of information related to sentences to the department, reports Al-Qabas daily.

According to informed security sources, Sheikh Al-Jarrah will issue a decision on Sunday to form a committee for implementing the abovementioned instructions and directives with the aim of increasing work efficiency and dealing with any loopholes if any.

The sources affirmed that the minister will, in the coming two days, issue a major decision for the transfer of a number of officials in the security sectors with the aim of improving the work in some relevant departments.

Meanwhile, Minister of Justice and State Minister for National Assembly Affairs Dr Faleh AlAzeb affirmed that the Public Prosecutor General has assigned

a prosecutor to coordinate with Ministry of Interior for the immediate release of the names of inmates who are included in the Amiri amnesty issued by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah before Eid Al-Adha, reports AlAnba daily.

The minister affirmed that the process for the speedy release of inmates who have been pardoned

from completing their sentences is ongoing in full swing so that these inmates can spend Eid with their families and relatives.

He explained that the inmates whose sentences have been reduced will be dealt with based on the law because they are still inside the prison. Even the inmates whose administrative deportation orders and fines have been cancelled will be dealt with in

accordance with the bylaws and standards.

Regarding the removal of some old service centers, Dr Al-Azeb revealed that two service centers in Rumaithiya and Yarmouk areas will be closed down in August, adding that the transactions to be completed there will be referred to nearby service centers until well-equipped service centers are established.
