Luck tells fans to not freak out

-

WASHINGTON, July 30, (RTRS): Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck repeatedly told fans to not “freak out” about his surgically repaired throwing shoulder.

Luck, 27, reported to training camp Saturday but opens on the active physically unable to perform list and can’t participate in practice.

The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with wide receiver Corey Davis, the No. 5 overall pick in this year’s draft, as the team kicked off training camp practice.

The Titans have now reached contracts with all nine members of the 2017 draft class. Davis was the last first-round pick to agree to terms.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones denied he hired a dive team after losing a $100,000 earring while tumbling off a Jet Ski.

Jones cleared up the story from an initial television report earlier this week.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco supports the idea of Colin Kaepernick joining the team as his backup this season.

Flacco told reporters Friday that he thinks Baltimore would be a “good spot” for Kaepernick.

The Oakland Raiders claimed running back George Atkinson III on waivers from the Cleveland Browns, the team announced.

Atkinson spent parts of three seasons with the Raiders after they signed him as an undrafted free agent in May 2014. He was waived and picked up by Cleveland in September 2016.

The COLTS restored safety Malik Hooker to the active roster from the physically unable to perform list.

Hooker, the 15th overall pick in this year’s draft, tweaked a hamstring during a conditioning test Monday. The 21-year-old and former Ohio State standout had hip and sports hernia surgeries before the NFL Scouting Combine. Hooker missed the Colts’ offseason program.
