Bonus, allowances after Eid holiday:
Director General of Customs Jamal Al-Jalawi extended glad tidings to employees of the directorate concerning bonuses and other allowances to be approved by Civil Service Commission (CSC) after Eid holiday, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Jalawi noted employees under the new system are to receive special bonuses and incentives monthly and not yearly—as it used to be.
He explained the directorate is working on the list of names of employees reaching the retirement age to pave way for their retirement at the end of 2017.
He explained the move will be followed by an extensive reshuffle and filling of vacant supervisory positions.
He pointed out that the directorate is waiting for report of Kuwait Research Center as regards its current premises. He noted the report will specify whether to demolish or renovate the premises, in view of the fact that no maintenance work has been performed at the site for about 38 years.
