Kuwait and Turkey agree to co-op on child, elderly care

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27 (KUNA): Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Al-Sabeeh have signed a Memorandum of Understand­ing (MoU) for child and elderly care with visiting Turkish Minister of Family and Social Policies, Fatma Betul.

On the sidelines of the meeting with the Turkish Minister, Al-Sabeeh stated that the Kuwaiti laws and regulation­s did not discrimina­te against women, pointing out that the Kuwaiti women have already taken over many leading positions in various fields.

She added that the human resources is the main asset that any developing plan relies on, where she revealed that a training program for the Kuwaiti women engineers would take place tomorrow.

Al-Sabeeh stated that Minister Betul visit came to partake in the kickoff of the training program for the Kuwaiti women engineers that is organized by the Turkish company “Limak Constructi­on” which will complete the expansion of Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport.

Moreover, the Turkish minister hailed the warm welcome that she received, stating that the Turkish-Kuwaiti relation is very strong, politicall­y and culturally, in which it goes back to a historical relation.

The Turkish minister is eager to boost the relation with Kuwait on all possible domains, namely within issues related to women and family.
