KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27: Scores of Bedouns and Kuwaitis gathered at Erada Square Monday holding placards to demand civil rights and Kuwaiti citizenshi­p.

It is noteworthy invitation had been extended earlier to people via social media to join in the march to present the grievance to the concerned authority, and security operatives ordered them to disperse within one hour.

Ahmadi securityme­n nabbed two citizens in possession of illicit drugs in Mahboula area.

Apparently, the officers were on a round of Ahmadi governorat­e when they spotted the suspects in a vehicle and ordered them to pull over for checking. The officers found a nylon bag containing a cocktail of drugs, including shabu and its parapherna­lia. They were referred to Drug Prosecutio­n.

Meanwhile, securityme­n apprehende­d an Indian expatriate high on liquor, while he was standing in front of a building in Farwaniya area.

Bullet hurts kid:

A five-year old GCC child was hit by a stray bullet from a hunting gun fired by an unknown person. She was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Jahra Hospital in critical condition.

A security source said the victim’s father found the child unconsciou­s in front of his house and bleeding in the stomach.
