Police bribed:
An Indian expatriate was arrested for attempting to bribe a detective for the release of a compatriot who was detained in police custody over a crime of running a place for gambling, reports Al-Anba daily.
The suspect was caught in the act while paying the bribe to the detective.
He was referred to the concerned authorities.
Impersonator held:
A 17-year old youth was arrested for impersonating an officer of rank “Captain” from Ministry of Interior, reports Al-Anba daily.
Capital securitymen were patrolling Sharq area when they suspected a youth wearing police gear with rank of “Captain” and a badge affiliated to General Traffic Department but his features indicated he was below 20 years of age.
They asked for his civil ID and discovered that he was just 17 years old and was impersonating a police officer.
They arrested him and referred him to the concerned authorities.
Asians nabbed:
Four Asian expatriates were arrested from a printing shop in Al-Rai area for producing seals and voucher receipts of fake domestic labor offices at a cost without the approval of security authorities, reports Al-Rai daily.
After carrying out intensive investigations and taking all necessary legal procedures, the printing shop was raided and the four Asian suspects were arrested.
Some of the suspects have residencies under Article No. 20.
