DGCA discusses means of mutual co-op with Danish team
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: Dutch Ambassador to Kuwait Frans Potuyt has affirmed that his country enjoys deep and strong relations with Kuwait; pointing out the two friendly countries have a distinctive chance to further strengthen their cooperation, support efforts to promote world peace and settle disputes after obtaining membership to the Security Council, reports Al-Anba daily.
In his recent interview with the daily, Potuyt disclosed his country fully supports the tremendous efforts exerted by HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to solve the Gulf crisis; indicating the Kuwaiti mediation is appreciated and praised internationally. He then pointed out that Kuwaiti diplomacy and neutrality play an outstanding role in the region.
He asserted the cooperation with Kuwait under the international alliance to fight against DAESH is manifested in the presence of nearly 100 soldiers on its land.
He said the commercial exchange between the two countries amounted to 1.7 billion Euros, revealing that Kuwaiti investments in the Netherlands reached 385 million Euros as of 2015. He was quick to add though that the value of these investments declined when Kuwait sold the Rotterdam refinery.
Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) discussed on Sunday with a high-ranking delegation from Denmark, headed by deputy head of Danish diplomatic mission in Kuwait means of cooperation in civil aviation and air transport.
DGCA said in a press statement that both sides discussed the latest technological developments in the field of air navigation and meteorological systems, as well as safety and security inspections.
