KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: The community police are looking into the level of negligence on the part of a female teacher who reportedly unintentionally ‘locked’ a six-year-old student in cupboard inside the school lab, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the incident happened inside a school in Bayan when the teacher took the students to the lab. When the students were in the lab, the six-year-old sneaked into the cupboard and the teacher locked it, not knowing the kid was inside.

After the school, the student failed to return home and there was a frantic search for him.

After a long search in school, the teacher returned to the lab and found his textbooks on his desk. She then went to the lab and began looking everywhere and found the student in one of the cupboards, unconscious.

The father took the boy to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital and submitted a medical report to Bayan Police Station.

The Bayan police officers contacted the community police as the case falls in the jurisdiction of this police according to a new law on child rights.

Personnel from the Community Police Department arrived at the Bayan Police Station and took over the case, investigations are ongoing.
