KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah has issued directives for the arrest and deportation of three Iranians and three Egyptians due to a public brawl that erupted inside the Fish Market after one of the Iranian fishmonger claimed that he was selling Kuwaiti fish but a customer insisted that he is a liar.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a quarrel among a group of expatriates — Egyptians and Iranians — at the Fish Market, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location, settled the quarrel and arrested six of them, referring them to the police station of the area.

Investigations revealed that the cause of the quarrel was that one of the customers alleged that the fish being sold by the Iranian fishmonger was not Kuwaiti, as claimed by him, but that it was Pakistani. This resulted in an argument which developed into a fistfight.

Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah ordered their deportation because they did not respect the law and maintain order.

Security sources insisted that expatriates should contact the police station of the area in case of any problem that becomes aggravated and violates the rules and regulation of the country.

Staffer attacked:

Three unknown individuals attacked an employee of Public Relations Department at Jahra Hospital during a quarrel that broke out between them.

When securitymen received information about the quarrel, they rushed to the location to discover the suspects managed to escape.

A case was registered against them for attacking an employee while the latter was on duty, and investigations are ongoing to find and arrest them.

The victim said the suspects wanted to break the queue, and they insulted and attacked him when he did not allow them to do so.
