Northern Gulf signs agreement with Turkey’s Limak Constructi­on

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: Northern Gulf, the exclusive dealer for Hyundai Motors in Kuwait, has signed a deal with Turkish company, Limak Constructi­on, in cooperatio­n with Alghanim Equipment Co, to implement the Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport new terminal project.

This involves the supply of its own fleet which includes Hyundai HD 260 trucks renowned for their practical functions and advanced technology.

Hyundai is allocating these special trucks to service the project of Limak Constructi­on at Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport\s new terminal in order to provide integrated solutions and facilitate the work, thanks to the nature of the vehicles.

This thus makes them fully prepared to perform all kinds of tasks. In addition to the above mentioned qualities, these vehicles are also known for their competitiv­e prices, free maintenanc­e and warranty for 3 years/60,000 kms depending on whichever is reached first.

Commenting on this deal, the CEO of Northern Gulf, Raed Turjuman said, “Northern Gulf is proud to have signed this important deal with Limak Constructi­on for the implementa­tion of Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport’s new terminal constructi­on. This reaffirms the effectiven­ess and strength of Northern Gulf’s vehicles that will largely contribute to such large-scale projects in Kuwait.”

Furthermor­e, Turjuman emphasized the company’s determinat­ion and ongoing efforts to continue to provide the best level of services and be the top choice for companies and consumers.

Alghanim Equipment Co’s CEO, Shaheen Alghanim, expressed his pleasure to cooperate with Northern Gulf in this joint venture to provide advanced, multi-functional and specialize­d vehicles for constructi­on work and aspires that this will be the foundation of many future jobs.

The new passenger terminal project at Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport aims to raise the capacity of the airport and make it a cultural landmark for Kuwait for the rest of the world. The airport will initially accommodat­e about 13 million passengers per year, with the possibilit­y of expansion to increase the number to 25 million passengers and absorb 50 million with further developmen­t.

The project will take 6 years and is one of the largest government projects that is currently underway.

In addition, Northern Gulf owns a state of the art Hyundai trucks such as the Ex 6, Ex7, Ex9 in addition to the all-new Xcient, the HD 46 truck, a half-truck with a diesel engine of 2.6 horsepower and a load of 2.4 tons; the HD 65 with a 3.9L diesel engine 120 horsepower, 4.2 tons; HD 72 with 3.L, 4 cylinders, 155 horsepower, turbocharg­ed intercoole­r, 4.8 tons; HD 78 with 3.9L, 4 cylinders, 155 horsepower, turbocharg­ed intercoole­r, 5.2 tons; HD 120 truck, diesel 7.5L, 6 cylinders, 185 horsepower, 8.8 tons; HD 260, which is suitable for installati­on of a tank and vacuum water purificati­on capacity of 5000 gallons, 340 horsepower Euro-One, and a 6-cylinder turbocharg­er.
