NLB, Rock N Bowl and K2E2 brush aside rivals

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: After slipping out of the Top 6 midway the elimination round, the Siete Pares 1 pin busters who are hoping to repeat their season 9 title winning stint are back in serious contention by topping the week 18 scoreboard of the on-going 2017 Season 11 FTBK Tenpin Bowling Team Tournament.

Compared to the output of the winning teams last week, the 18th round scores of the double round robin qualifying was relatively low and making the most out the situation were tournament leader NLB Corporation, Rock N Bowl and K2E2 Thunders who brushed aside their respective rivals. Also thumping their 18th week opponents of this tenpin bowling competition organized by the Filipino Tenpin Bowlers Kuwait (FTBK) and held every Friday at the 16-lane Cozmo Bowling Center in Salmiya were D’Islanders, Strikers X and World Class.

slot, Siete Pares 1 capitalized on having to bowl without an opponent that assured them of the extra 100 pin falls game and win points. Coming off a 17th week win over Cozmo Salmiya, Siete Pares opened up their stint with an 844 output in game one that was followed by another good showing in game two which netted them an 816 score. After momentarily losing their pin busting touch in game three where they only garnered 737 pin falls, the Siete Pares 1 crew of Faie Reyel, Egay Cabildo, Rita Vidana, Jazel Pangilinan and Nitz Alinea closed out with an 816 to finish their outing with a total score of 3238 pin falls.
Through its second consecutive above 3200 performance Siete Pares 1 moved up from ninth to sixth place in the team standings.
Meanwhile, tournament leader NLB Corporation extended their stay at the top of the team standings by dominating their match opposite the entertainment czars of Cozmo Salmiya. Banking on their long stretch of consistent pin busting, the pump specialist has tightened their grip on the leaderboard supremacy and will surely go the championship round as title favorites.
