TIES class Oct 2: You are cordially invited to our Tafseer class (Divine Wisdom from the Latest Testament) on Oct 2, at 7:00 pm. In this class, we will focus on Surat Al-Qalam (The Pen) from verse 15 till 19.
We will discuss some characteristics of Allah’s enemies who, instead of thanking Him for his blessings, chose to disbelieve in Him and deter others from belief.
We will also compare the punishment meted out to the Quraishi polytheists with that of the owners of a lush garden in Yemen. Finally we will discuss the importance of the phrase, ‘In sha’Allah’.

Gandhi Jayanti celebration: Gandhi Jayanti will be celebrated in the Indian Embassy on Monday, Oct 2, 2017, with a one-hour cultural programme from 09001000 hrs. Favourite Gandhi Bhajans will be sung on this auspicious occasion.
All Indian nationals are cordially invited to participate. Please arrive by 0845 hrs.

Indian Embassy closure: The Indian Embassy shall remain closed on Oct 1, 2017 (Sunday) and Oct 2, 2017 (Monday) on the occasion of Muharram and Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday respectively. However, emergency consular services will be rendered by the mission.
TIES Center events: TIES Center announces following events – Tajweed and Recitation: Learn and practice the art of reciting the Holy Quran (tajweed). The instructor will also answer questions related to the meaning of the Arabic words and verses.
