HH the Crown Prince hails Boursa Kuwait emerging market feat
Sheikh Nawaf receives Minister of Commerce and Industry, others
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2, (KUNA): His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Monday received Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting State Minister for Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan and other state financial sector officials.
These officials included Capital Markets Authority Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and Managing Director Nayef Al-Hajraf, Board of Commissioner members, Boursa Kuwait’s Board Chairman Talal Al-Ghanim and Board Members.
His Highness the Crown Prince congratulated the guests at his Seif Palace office on the recent inclusion of Boursa Kuwait, Kuwait’s stock exchange, to the FTSE Russel emerging market list for the first time.
He hailed the enormous and ongoing efforts exerted by CMA and Boursa Kuwait employees in meeting the requirements necessary for the classification after “comprehensive strategic planning,” which he described as an “historic achievement.”
“This will reflect positively on the Kuwaiti financial market, will increase its investment efficiency and attractiveness and regional and international position and will support national growth,” he said.
The encounter was held in the attendance of the Director of Ceremonials at the Diwan of the Crown Prince Sheikh Mubarak Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah.
His Highness the Crown Prince received on Monday Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Anas Al-Saleh and Director General of the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) Hamad Al-Homeidhi at Seif Palace Monday.
Al-Saleh and Al-Homeidhi presented His Highness with a special publication celebrating 40th anniversary of enforcing social security in Kuwait.
His Highness the Deputy Amir also received at Seif Palace Monday Minister of Oil and Minister of Electricity and Water Essam Abdul Mohsen Al-Marzouq.
Also received Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of State for the Municipality Mohammad Nasser Al-Jabri.
Furthermore, His Highness the Crown Prince received Monday at Seif Palace Chief of the National Security Bureau Sheikh Thamer Ali Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
