The Ministry of Health has instructed assistant undersecretaries and directors of health districts to fully abide by the decision requiring all employees to use the fingerprint attendance system, reports Al-Rai daily.
On the other hand, Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs in the ministry Salman Al-Haifi has refuted the rumor on the cancellation of the reduced work hours decision.
The Ministry of Health has stopped the practice of changing timings and number of working hours for employees entitled to the reduced working hours privilege in a bid to ensure smooth flow of work and to better serve the public, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources.
Sources explained this step was taken after finding out that employees who enjoy reduced working hours for various reasons like disability, to take care of a disabled person, pregnancy or breastfeeding are constantly changing their timings and number of working hours. Sources said such practices obstructed work in health facilities, especially the hospitals and health centers due to the lack of employees.
