ICSK Junior celebrates Teacher’s Day
Each one of us needs knowledge, compassion, encouragement and good conduct in order to live happily and so we need someone who is wise to guide and hence god gave us the teachers. “Teachers should be the best minds in the country”, said Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great Indian philosopher and a teacher par excellence. He was also the president of India and his birthday is celebrated nationwide as the teacher’s day.
The students of ICSK Junior recently had special assemblies to mark one of the most important days in the lives of teachers and students — Teacher’s Day on Sept 25 and 26, 2017. The assembly began with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran followed by the school prayer.
The anchor took us through the program with enthusiasm and confidence. The students rendered a thematic thought for the day, sang melodious songs and performed foot tapping dances. The children dressed as various professionals spoke eloquently about the influence of teachers in their lives. A speech was given on the importance of Teacher’s Day.
On this day of significance, students showed their love and respect to their teachers. Teachers were called upon the stage and were gifted with greeting cards and hand-made book marks.
In her speech Principal Mrs Sherly Dennis spoke about the importance of teachers in our society and she also reminded the students that their parents were their first teachers in life.
The show concluded with the pledge followed by the National anthem. concerned passport has to be cancelled before an Emergency Certificate (EC) is issued to an Indian national. At times, Indian nationals who are either detained or due for deportation may not have their passports with them. They apply for travel documents (Emergency Certificate) either directly or through Kuwait Police. In such cases, ECs are issued to them after cancelling their passports. However, in certain cases, they recover their passports later and travel on those passports which already stand cancelled in data available with immigration authorities in India. These passports are immediately seized by Immigration authorities in India. This results in much harassment and inconvenience to these Indian travelers, whose passports are seized.
