KGL wins contracts:
Kuwait & Gulf Link Transportation Company (KGL) has announced that two of its subsidiaries have won supply contracts worth $2 billion for the US Army, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
KGL Transport Company, which is one of the subsidiaries in which KGL owns 97 percent of shares, won the Hefei Lift 8 contract related to transportation works in GCC countries, Iraq and Jordan. This five-year contract, which is worth $500 million (KD 164 million), starts this month.
The other subsidiary company, KGL Food Services in which KGL holds 99 percent of shares, signed a $1.380 billionworth contract with the main supplier US Logistics Agency. The contract is for 60 months which can be extended to another 60 months, and it is concerned with supplying food and logistical services to the US Army in Kuwait, Iraq and Jordan.
