KUWAIT CITY, April 16: The Pub­lic Au­thor­ity for In­dus­try has been work­ing to­ward al­low­ing com­pa­nies and fac­to­ries to con­struct houses for their work­ers within the in­dus­trial ar­eas where they op­er­ate, and con­struc­tion per­mit should be se­cured from Kuwait Mu­nic­i­pal­ity to au­tho­rize the work­ers’ ac­com­mo­da­tions, re­ports Al-Qabas daily.

In this con­text, Min­is­ter of Com­merce and In­dus­try Khalid Al-Roud­han is­sued a de­ci­sion to lay down rules and reg­u­la­tions gov­ern­ing the al­lo­ca­tion of sites for ser­vices in in­dus­trial ar­eas for stores, truck park­ing lots or ac­com­mo­da­tion for work­ers.

The de­ci­sion in­di­cates the pe­riod of al­lo­ca­tion will be tem­po­rary not ex­ceed­ing a du­ra­tion of three years and re­new­able and open to ex­ten­sion de­pend­ing on eval­u­a­tion of the Pub­lic Au­thor­ity for In­dus­try.

In case of ex­pi­ra­tion of the pe­riod of al­lo­ca­tion and the au­thor­ity re­ject­ing an ap­pli­ca­tion for re­newal, ex­ten­sion or end­ing the pur­pose for which it was granted, the ap­pli­cant should va­cate the lo­ca­tion, clean the place and re­move the fa­cil­i­ties within two months from the date of ex­pi­ra­tion then re­turn it to the au­thor­ity.

The au­thor­ity will take ad­min­is­tra­tive ac­tion upon fail­ure to va­cate the lo­ca­tion, while the oc­cu­pier will bear the cost from the bank guar­an­tee with­out any right of claim­ing com­pen­sa­tion from the au­thor­ity.

The tem­po­rary al­lo­ca­tion can­not be trans­formed to a per­ma­nent one. It’s also not pos­si­ble to mort­gage or trans­fer it to an­other per­son or join the tem­po­rary al­lo­ca­tion of ser­vice ar­eas as an ex­ten­sion of the fac­tory.

Health In­sur­ance Hos­pi­tals Com­pany “Da­man” an­nounced that the Un­der­sec­re­tary of Min­istry of Health Dr Mustafa Mo­ham­mad Redha ac­ceded to the mem­ber­ship of the com­pany’s board as rep­re­sen­ta­tive of Kuwait In­vest­ment Au­thor­ity (KIA), re­ports Al-Qabas daily.

He was re­cently ap­pointed as the un­der­sec­re­tary of the min­istry. He has un­der­taken de­vel­op­men­tre­lated op­er­a­tions in many health files and is re­spon­si­ble for pre­par­ing plans and poli­cies for en­hanc­ing health­care sec­tor in Kuwait.
