Kuwaiti official, Malaysian police chief discuss cooperation
The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry’s Undersecretary Mahmoud Al-Dosari held talks on Monday with Malaysia’s Inspector General of Police Mohammad Fuzi, focusing on strategies to establish closer bilateral ties.
The Kuwaiti official’s encounter with the Malaysian police officer was part of festivities included in ithe 16th edition of the “Defense Services Asia” (DSA) conference, which kicked off in the Malaysian capital Monday and runs until April 19.
On his meeting with Fuzi, Al-Dosari said that issues of mutual concern were the focal points of discussion, citing a “protocol on security cooperation” to be signed between Kuwait and the Southeast Asian monarchy soon. He pointed out that his country has long shared a special bond with Kuala Lumpur, hailing Malaysia as a nation with loads of untapped economic potential.
Deemed as the biggest defense show in Asia, Malaysia has hosted the biennial event since its inception in 1988, bringing together 400 senior officials from more than 60 nations. (KUNA)
