Kuwaiti singer in fest:
Renowned Kuwaiti singer Abdullah Ruwaished also known as the Ambassador of Gulf Song will take part in the activities of the 33rd Garish Festival (2018) with a variety of his old and new songs, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Students at cafes:
A number of secondary school students, who are below 18 years old, are seen in cafés and shisha places wearing their school uniforms, reports Al-Rai daily.
It seems these students usually escape from their schools due to the absence of strict supervision which is required to correct these misbehaving youths.
Actor filming series:
Actor Mohammad Jabber Al-Adiroussi continues the filming of his series which will be aired in Ramadan, reports Al-Anba daily.
Al-Adiroussi told the daily that he is doing three series with the participation of other Kuwaiti and Gulf stars.
He confirmed completion of the filming of his new drama, “With Hesa Pen,” in which he appears with other actors like Hayat Al-Fahad, Zahra Al-Kharji, Yacoub Abdullah, Mishari Al-Balaam and Basim Abdul Amir.
Talking about his two other series, Al-Adiroussi disclosed one is a Gulf drama entitled, “Without Filter,” and the other has yet to be announced.
Piano concert organised:
The Turkish Embassy in Kuwait, in collaboration with Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah (DAI), organized a piano concert by renowned Turkish pianist Tuluyhan Ugurlu entitled, “Istanbul — a World Capital,” at Yarmouk Cultural Centre recently, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Ugurlu captivated the audience with a repertoire from his 2005 musical composition which depicts the beauty of Istanbul through music. The composition begins with the words of Napoleon Bonaparte: “If the world were a single country, the capital would be Istanbul.” It has been performed successfully in more than 450 concerts around the world. The concert at Yarmouk Cultural Centre featured select pieces from the composition including Istanbul, a World Capital; The City Where the Three Religions Live in Harmony; The World’s Oldest Shopping Center: The Grand Bazaar; Istanbul – Minarets and Towers: Sinan; A Love Story of Istanbul and the Tulip; Spiritual Sultans of Istanbul and Autumn in Istanbul.
