KUWAIT CITY, April 18, (KUNA): Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (SCPD) Dr Khaled Mahdi said Wednesday the government’s action plan covers several vital sectors in the country.
They include administration, economy, sustainability, human resource, infrastructure, environment, health, and housing, Mahdi told MPs during the parliament’s complementary session to discuss the government’s action plan for the 15th Legislative Term 2016/2017-2019/2020.
One of the plan’s top priorities is state administration development through restructuring the country’s government services and reactivating corporate governance, he said.
Reforming the government managing sectors aims to provide top-quality public services and increase productivity and competency levels in the country’s administrative body, said the SCPD chief.
It also seeks to respond to the renewed demands of citizens and businesses as part of implementing partnership, equality, responsibility, transparency, and integrity principles, he added.
Furthermore, the government also plans to build and develop knowledge and digital economies to boost economic activities in Kuwait, Mahdi said.
Knowledge and digital economies aim to construct an innovative environment with research, innovation, and creativity qualities, he added.
Modern technology is essential for building productive and competent national human capital capable of adapting to future demands, Mahdi added.
