Government authorities have failed to take responsibility for the delay in operation of public services in the new residential cities, especially in the south, in the face of the continuing suffering of residential plot owners and the indifference of relevant officials, reports Al-Qabas daily.

“The problem lies in lack of responsiveness of the officials to issues such as delay in connecting electricity” said the head of the voluntary committee of the people of Wafra residential project Khaled Al-Merri.

Al-Merri said some 2,700 Kuwaiti families have no electricity connection while concerned officials keep exchanging accusations and blaming each other.
