Citizens, expats arrested for drugs
Securitymen nab wanted citizen over KD 5,000 debt
KUWAIT CITY, April 21: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in Salwa area for possessing hashish and drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest.
According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Salwa area when they suspected a vehicle parked beside a road with an individual seated inside. When they approached the vehicle, the man jumped out of the vehicle and started running. Securitymen chased him and eventually caught him. They checked his details and discovered he is a Kuwaiti citizen. They found a piece of hashish and drug paraphernalia on him when they checked him.
He was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the Drugs Control General Department (DCGD) for necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, Farwaniya securitymen arrested two Bedoun youths in possession of “Chemical” drug and methamphetamine, and referred them with the confiscated drugs to DCGD.
Furthermore, Farwaniya securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti citizen in possession of four “Larika” pills and drug paraphernalia in Khaitan area and referred him with the items to DCGD.
In addition, Jahra securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted by law for nonpayment of a debt worth KD 5,000 and was in possession of nine Captagon pills. He was also referred to DCGD with the confiscated narcotic pills.
Also, a Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in Farwaniya Governorate in possession of drugs, drugs paraphernalia and a knife.
According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen were on routine patrol when they noticed a man run as soon as he noticed the patrol vehicle. Securitymen chased him and eventually caught him. They realized he was under narcotic influence and checked him to find three cigarettes stuffed with hashish, paper used for making such cigarettes and other drug paraphernalia, a sachet with narcotic pills and a knife.
He was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the Drugs Control General Department (DCGD) for investigations.
Meanwhile, Farwaniya securitymen arrested a Pakistani man for possessing and peddling in heroin.
Furthermore, an Egyptian expatriate in possession of sachets of “Chemical” drug was arrested in Farwaniya area and referred to DCGD for necessary legal action.
